3 a.m. and the baby is finally asleep and I am just sitting on the bathroom floor crying for no reason. Is anyone else awake?

No one warned me about the rage. I am not sad today, I am furious at the world. I feel like a monster. Tell me I am not the only one.

I love my baby more than air, but tonight I am grieving the old me. The spontaneous one. Just needed to say that out loud somewhere safe.

An anonymous community peer space for maternal mental-health support
A quiet light for everyone awake in the dark.
This is for every mother up at 2 or 3 a.m. wondering if anyone else is awake too. And it's a nod to the people (nuns, chaplains, and night-shift caregivers of every faith) who stay up on purpose so no one has to be alone in the dark.
